Congratulations to Sophia, Sumita, and Gina!
They received merit-based scholarships from the National Security Language Initiative for Youth, which is a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. NSLI-Y provides for high school students interested in studying less commonly taught languages.
Sophia will study Arabic in Amman, Jordan.
Sumita will study Chinese in Shanghai.
Gina will study Korean in South Korea..
